McNair Shot and Killed

UPDATED (6 p.m.)...

Former Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Steve McNair was shot and killed in Nashville, police have confirmed.

McNair, 36, and an unidentified woman were found dead in a condominium, a Nashville police spokesman told reporters at an impromptu news conference near the property.

Investigators did not yet know the circumstances of the shooting, spokesman Don Aaron said.

"At this point, we don't know the circumstances of these shooting deaths," Aaron said. "The investigation is going to be conducted by the police department's centralized homicide unit. Those detectives have assembled here at the scene. The condominium still has to be processed. There is a lot of work yet to be done. It's going to take many hours to process the scene. I don't have any answers for you now as to what's happened, who's responsible, what the circumstances are."

Aaron said that police had tentatively identified the woman but did not release her name, pending confirmation of that identification and notification of her family.

No one had been arrested for the shooting, said Aaron, who indicated that investigators were questioning visitors to the condo complex to see if they had any information.

"We are saddened and shocked to hear the news of Steve McNair's passing today," Titans owner Bud Adams said in a written statement released by the team. "He was one of the finest players to play for our organization and one of the most beloved players by our fans. He played with unquestioned heart and leadership and led us to places that we had never reached, including our only Super Bowl. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family as they deal with his untimely passing."

I was scouring the news articles this morning and came across the Lifestraw.  It is a device that is used to purify dirty water into drinkable water.  Vestergaard Frandsen is the company that designs and manufactures the Lifestraw for $6.50.  The straw will help a child out and supply a years worth of drinking water.  Below is an excerpt from the company and a diagram to show how the device works.  Remember this the next time you take a sip of that bottled water.

READ IF YOU PLAY L4D

Alright I am uploading two new maps to the L4D server.  These are custom made maps, and are two of the best and stable maps I could find.  With the new maps, the end user must download the VPK.exe file in order to play on the server.  

Download these two vpk files and then double click to run the exe, and it will install the maps for you.

I suggest getting the first map "Death Aboasd" as I know this works on the server.  I have not tried "Dam it" as I am having problems uploading it.  Make sure you get Death Aboard. I checked these files with McAfee online, and it said they were safe.  There are tons of people playing these two maps.  If you wish not to download these maps, then when we start a game on the TSS server you will be shot back to the main menu.  These maps will be a nice change of pace.  I am uploading the maps and they should get done within a hour and a half.

Steam is offering 20 of 2K games for $53.99.  I know some of those games like Bioshock and Civilization are worth twenty alone.  It's certainly not for everyone but if you have some cash burning, and need to game.  This might just be for you, check it out.

How to Have a Healthy Vagina

As an important part of the woman's body, the vagina requires as much attention to hygiene as do other parts of the body to help maintain overall good health. Unfortunately, since the vagina is an embarrassing subject among many women, it is often neglected of basic care. Here is a simple guide to keeping the vagina at least relatively healthy.

STEPS:

1. Keep healthy. This may seem like a no brainer -- keep healthy to keep a healthy vagina. For this you need to minimize sugar intake, and maximize yogurt intake. Why yogurt? Simple, really. The bacteria in your vagina is a certain type that is in only a couple of foods that you can find in the grocery store. It just so happens, though, that yogurt contains good bacteria called acidophilus. Sugar, meanwhile, promotes the type of bacteria that the yogurt bacterias, if you will, try to kill off. So, as said before, minimize sugar, and maximize yogurt, sugar-free preferably.
2. Keep yourself clean. A large cause of infections happen simply because sweat or oils built up until there was nothing for it to do except fester and form an infection. Never fun. So bathe and shower regularly, and try and keep "down there" as clean as possible, without using a douche. Douches clean too much-- they take away some of the bad bacteria, but then they also take away massive amounts of the good bacteria. Unfortunately, the bad bacteria builds itself up, and you're worse off than before. Douching can also lead to increased inflammation (vaginitis). A simple washcloth, with a small amount of mild unscented soap and water works fine, but do not wash inside.  The vagina is constantly flushing itself. So allow it to work the way it was designed.
3. Use condoms! Condoms, while helping to protect you against pregnancy, also help keep your vagina clean. Having unprotected sex often can lead to vagina problems as well as the obvious pregnancy and STDs.
4. Use dental dams and gloves If you receive oral sex or are being fingered.
5. Wear cotton underwear. Cotton is very breathable, if you will, and allows the vagina to get air circulating around it. This helps to keep things from building up "down there", and also helps maintain good skin around the vagina area.
6. Take out your old tampons. Leaving a tampon in your vagina too long, more than six hours, is a very bad idea. It can cause a toxic syndrome (TSS), as well as some very disgusting build up. Use smaller size and change sooner. Changing out pads often is also a good idea-- leaving a pad on too long can cause serious irritation to the skin on and around the vagina like diaper rash! So keep the diaper rash at bay, and change your pad throughout the day.
7. Avoid sprays and scented soaps. Actually, try and avoid soaps "down there" as much as possible. They can get caught in the crevices of the vagina and fester. And you have an infection of the vagina in no time at all. Sprays and scented soaps, though, are more damaging, as they are designed to leave a bit behind-- the scent, and you don't want anything left on the skin of your vagina at all. Soaps and bubble baths can also worse vaginal dryness.
8. Visit your gynaecologist regularly. Only your doctor can accurately diagnose any problems you may be having. If you do suspect anything at all, call and make an appointment as soon as you can.
9. Rinse Well. While showering or taking a bath, rinse your vagina with lots of water, especially if you use soap.

TIPS:

• Keep a mature mind when following the above steps. Keeping a healthy vagina is part of a regular hygiene regimen.
• If you suffer from vaginal dryness, you can use over-the-counter moisturizers and lubricants to make intercourse more comfortable.
• If you think you have a yeast infection, consult your doctor first before initiating self-treatment. According to the Mayo Clinic, there are several conditions, some of them serious, with similar symptoms. Over-the-counter treatments usually work against yeast but won't reate similar vaginal problems that are commonly mistaken for yeast infections like vaginitis, chlamydia and and trichomoniasis.
• If your husband or boyfriend is not circumcised then you may be at a higher risk for contracting HPV, which is responsible for genital warts and cervical cancer.
• Getting an STD test both you and your partner(s) is a great way to know for sure if you have anything. Don't be chicken, your health depends on it.

WARNINGS:

• If you do contract an STD, deal with it as soon as possible. STDs that are not dealt with can cause serious problems down the road.
• If you experience irregular vaginal bleeding -- small amounts of blood between periods, bleeding for weeks at a time or soaking a maxi-pad an hour over the course of several hours -- see your doctor. You could be suffering from a number of diseases or conditions.
• If you have problems with persistent vaginal odor (especially a "fishy" smell), consult your doctor. It could be vaginitis.

I don't know where the hell I was when this deal went down. I usually do a good job scouring to find crap like this when it comes around. Seems like i was 26,000 people short and 140,000 monitors late. I am not gonna lie. Deep down inside it piss me off. Really it does.

Looks like Dell has made a rather costly mistake in Taiwan. Apparently a promotional deal went online with the wrong price of $15 for some monitors. Within eight hours, 26000 customers had ordered 140000 monitors. Ouch!

The Taiwanese regulators are making Dell fulfill the order. It’s not the customer’s fault after all. The original price of the monitors was supposed to be about $150. After Dell changed the price, 471 complaints were filed and Dell will have to use the $15 price for clients who have ordered those monitors. Dell will try to apply a deep discount to some others.

LOL. This totally amazes me as to why I DIDN'T THINK OF THIS DAMN GAME.  Heed my warnings TSS. This game does not include a replacement LIVER. Nor does it come with any chicks you see in beer advertisements.  Chicks will not magically appear nor will a bullet train appear and cause everyone to dance to disco music. It will not give you wings unless you are smoking what PMP is selling and what Matt Damon is putting into the bong. It will however make Willie think he is Matthew Mcconaughey. So beware.

Gary Coleman's Wife Busted for Domestic Violence

We've learned Gary Coleman's wife was arrested last night for domestic violence and disorderly conduct in Santaquin, Utah -- where the couple has a home.

According to the sheriff's website, Shannon Price was booked for the two misdemeanors at 8:32 PM and then released on $1,205 bond.

Cops tell us Shannon allegedly broke household items belonging to Gary and that he was not physically harmed.
